How To Apply For An UnionBank EON Visa Debit Card
This tutorial will show you on how to get your EON Visa Debit card. I will tackle all the steps from signing up, and getting your EON card in the selected UnionBank branch. Of course, I included the requirements and fees for your convenience, to avoid further problem. I will also discuss how long the process before you can get the EON Card.
So what is EON Visa Debit Card? Just in case if you don't know what it is.
Eon Visa Debit Card it is an UnionBank Internet-Base deposit account. It allows you to do absolutely all your banking transactions with a click of a mouse. You can even make electronic fund transfers to any bank in the country -- anytime, anywhere!
EON is the country's first electronic fund transfer facility among other banks. All you need to do is specify the bank, the beneficiary or account holder's name and his /her account number and you're all set!

What are The Requirements To Have an EON Card?
- 2 Valid IDs (Must be Government IDs) Visit Here for the list of Valid IDs
- 350 Pesos for your annual fee, or yearly fee (350 Php every year)
Additional Requirements for Employee:
Bring your company ID and you should have an SSS or Social Security System. I don't know why UnionBank needs your SSS, just ask the teller.

Bring your student ID and your Student Registration Card, to proved that you're really enrolled as a student. Don't forget the receipt of your payments for that Registration card.
In my case, I'm a college student and I don't have any Government IDs. So first I apply for Postal ID and Baranggay ClearanceMost of the UnionBank Branches that print EON card have a document scanner. Just to make sure, please photocopy all the requirements.
How To Sign-Up For EON Visa Debit Card Online?
Step 1: Go to the online application form for EON in the UnionBank website ( HERE )
- In "Employer/Business Address" Even if you don't have a work just fill up it.
- PayPal and EON address must be the same to verify your PayPal account.
- In "Pickup Branch" select the area where you are near,
Step 3: And click the SUBMIT button.
If your application form successfully submitted to the UnionBank server, you will be redirected to a new page confirming that they received your application details. (See the image below.) And after that, they will send you a text message confirming again that you can now claim your EON Visa Debit Card, in my case I received the text message 5 minutes after I clicked the SUBMIT button.

What Next After You Sign Up?
After the signing up process and you received the text message from EON. The sender named is EON. The message is like this:Thank you for applying. We have received your application details and you may now pick up your EON card by presenting your no.: 983465798 at Quezon City - Gotesco Commonwealth branch ("Your Pickup Branch").
- Now compile your IDs and documents bring the original and the photocopy and go to your Unionbank Pickup Branch where you need to process that IDs and Documents. Don't forget to bring 350 Pesos for the annual fee.
- Ask the teller in the UnionBank about your EON card, wait around 10 minutes depends on the volume of applicants. After waiting for the teller will ask why you're applying for EON card and explain your answer to them :D.
- Its time to process your IDs and Documents, If there is no problem with your IDs they will give you the form for finalizing your application process.
- Finally, they will give you now your EON Visa Debit Card together with the default Pin Number, and the teller will explain to you all the details about your EON card.
- After that, you need to wait for 24 hours before you can use your EON card. Because your card is not yet activated, After 24 hours of waiting (I hope that you sleep), if you have a balance in your card you can now enjoy using your EON card!.
- The Minimum withdrawal including online expenses is 20,000 PHP per day.
- If you want to use your EON card to verify PayPal you must deposit at least 500 Php.

I am a college student and I only have 1 I.D. and I think we don't have student registration card in our school. we only receive study load and the receipt for enrolling. is it necessary to have a student registration card? and also do I still have to fill the TIN/SSS/UMID?
ReplyDeletePlease apply for a Postal ID and get a Baranggay clearance and also bring your school ID. If you have that they will allow you to get an EON Card.
